AMINU TAMBUWAL'S CONVOY STOPPED AND SEARCHED BY SOLDIERS IN KADUNA

A mild drama occurred yesterday at the entrance to Hotel 17, Kaduna, venue of an International Conference on Security and Development Challenges of Pastoralism in West and Central Africa, organized by the office of the National Security Adviser when soldiers actin under "Order from Above" STOPPED & SEARCHED the official Flag Car of the House of Representatives Speaker Rt.Hon. Aminu Tambuwal.

The speaker was asked to whine down and after recognizing him the soldiers insisted his car must be searched which his security aides protested. In the course of the drama Tambuwal came down from his car and trekked to the venue which was few meters away to the amazement of other VIPs who watched as the drama ensued.
Commenting on the issue, the media aid to the Speaker Mr Imam Imam, wondered why his Bosses' car was singled out for searching by the soldiers who claimed orders from above, as he advice the Executive to mindful of it's actions against the legislature.
Tambuwal arrived the venue some minutes after 9am, though the event is billed for 10am. He delivered his keynote address and opened the event as he departed to Oyo State for another function.
The theme of the conference was: “The Role of Pastoralists in Preventing Insurgency and Conflicts for Sustainable Peace and National Security.”
